Description:

On June 15, 2021, the IRS mailed out 5 million collection letters. This 2-hour topic will provide the participant the knowledge required to assist taxpayers who are in debt to the IRS with current or back taxes, penalties and interest. Is an Offer in Compromise the best solution? We will explore how to determine the taxpayer's ability to pay. Do you know that there are several levels of installment agreements? Learn about each one and the different requirements and conditions to qualify. If your client is about to face a lien, do you know how to postpone it or even eliminate it? You will be in an informed position to help your client after attending this seminar.

Speaker:

John G Miller EA is President and CEO of the firm, Accounting for TAX, located in SanMateo, CA, and has been in the tax business for over 22 years. He holds a BS in accounting from Colorado State University and previously served 12 years as a faculty instructor for the San Mateo Community College District. During those years he was an instructor for courses in accounting, taxation, real estate, retirement, and investing and responsible for conducting a VITA program. He is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, the National Society of Accountants, and currently serves on theBoard of Directors of the California Society of Tax Consultants, San Francisco Chapter.
