Tax preparers face no shortage of ethical mandates, including but not limited to penalty provisions within the Internal Revenue Code("IRC"). 2018 and 2019 were not lacking in key changes in those ethical requirements. This ethical program will cover a recap of key ethical concerns facing tax return preparers, including critical provisions and changes to the IRC like sections 6694, 6695, 6700, and 6701. The program will also provide a detailed review of areas for future ethical scrutiny, including cros-over concerns with the Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA").
