Topic: 

The 1996 California Tax Preparer Act includes a provision that pertains to tax preparer ethics, professional conduct, conduct regarding bonding and penalties for breaking the law. This class will fulfill the annual requirements in this area. Our speaker will also cover the information and concepts presented in Circular 230, the code of conduct for return preparers, defining Tax Preparer Ethics.

Presenter(s):

David A. Eastis, CRTP, BA, MA
Mr. Eastis holds various degrees. His BA is in the area of accounting from Indiana University, South Bend. Other degrees held are from the University of La Verne and Bethany Theological Seminary. David currently has a practice located in Brea, California. One of his specialties is dealing with Non Profit Corporations. As an active member of CSTC, David has held numerous positions of leadership including state president of CSTC and positions within individual chapters. Mr. Eastis is a frequent speaker at the annual CSTC Summer Symposium and each year is the instructor of the basic tax preparation class offered by CSTC. Finally, David is highly regarding for his presentation of this mandated IRS topic.
