We have clients who are not eligible for a Social Security Number (SSN), so they will need to get an Individual Identification Number (ITIN). However, they are not the same as SSNs. In this seminar we will review the differences between an SSN and ITIN. We will review the process and documents required to obtain an ITIN. Unlike SSNs, ITINs also expire. We will go over when ITINs expire and the process to renew them. Also ,there are identification number issues when it comes to adopting children.
Our learning objectives of this course includes:
1. How to apply for an ITIN.
2. How to identify when an ITIN will expire.
3. How to renew an ITIN.
4. Differences with SSNs.
