Description:

FEDERAL FORMS 1099 - Certain Information Returns - Will be a discussion about the FEDERAL FORM 1099 series. The discussion will explore who, or when they are prepared, and how they are issued. Examples of a completed FEDERAL FORM 1099 and a FEDERAL FORM 1096 Transmittal will be used as a guide for discussion, as well as referenced Federal Publications. How to obtain forms for issue, who is responsible to prepare and issue, due dates for issue, common errors to avoid when completing the form, penalties if not issued, general review of the common form 1099's issued, and where to input on FORM 1040 U. S. Individual Tax Return will provide a "start to finish" procedure. Also, a review of Worker Classification - Independent Contractor vs Employee- will be discussed as additional support for Federal FORM 1099 issues. The discussion of FEDERAL FORMS 1099 will lead to a better understanding of Federal Tax Law.
