We will be covering the following areas of the 1031 and Delaware Statutory Trusts: The exchange fundamentals of the 1031; its history, the mechanics and restrictions, the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the tax consequences. The Delaware Statutory Trusts (DST); its history, processing and the "seven deadly sins", the benefits and drawbacks. Then ask the question; Is a DST right for your client(s)?

Karl Schorr and Autumn Schorr
Karl Schorr: Karl is the founding partner of Karl Schorr Wealth Management, LLC, a California Registered Investment Advisor. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1985 and spent 20 years writing software, usually related to finance. In 2012 he founded Karl Schorr Wealth Management and now manages investment portfolios for several families in California and seven other states. Karl has been a CSTC member since 2013. Outside the office, Karl loves fishing, pickleball, and exotic foods.
Autumn Schorr: Autumn is a partner of Karl Schorr Wealth Management and earned her master's degree in Strategic Communication from Chapman University. At Chapman she taught courses in public speaking and business communication. At Karl Schorr Wealth Management she is focused on research, portfolio strategies, and private real-estate investments. Autumn became a CSTC member early this year. When not in the office, she loves overseas travel and going to concerts.
