Topic: 

Day One - Understanding Client Records
The course will cover the basic accounting reports needed to prepare an entity tax return and how to correct those reports before preparing the tax return. We’ll look at what should be on the balance sheet and profit & loss statements and how to properly categorize items. What do we do when the client records are a mess? We’ll look at examples and work through resolves problems.

Day Two – Transferring Client Reports to the Tax Return
The course will cover basic entity tax preparation (partnerships/C & S corporations) starting with client reports and what goes on the tax return and where. This will be a hands-on workshop to prepare entity returns – so bring your pencil (and eraser)!

Presenter:

Claudia Stanley, CPA is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and serves as treasurer of the California Society of Tax Consultants, as education chair of the Central California Chapter of Enrolled Agents, and as treasurer of Fresno’s local chapter of American Business Women’s Association. Claudia is a long-time member of CSTC. In 2016 she was named member of the year of the Central Valley Chapter of CSTC and in 2001 she was named one of the Top Ten Women of the Year in the nation by the American Business Women’s Association. She frequently speaks on various tax topics.
