In the beginning......

What began as a local group of tax professionals
in 1966 is today The California Society of Tax
Consultants (CSTC), an organization dedicated
to promoting professionalism within the tax
industry. Members include:
• Enrolled Agents
• Accountants/CPAs
• CA Registered Tax Preparers
• Attorneys
• Bookkeepers
• Fiduciaries and more
CSTC focuses on three core objectives: offering
quality educational programming; promoting
regular networking opportunities for tax
professionals; and sustaining a strong chapter
network for delivering CSTC services at the local
level. Our goal is for tax professionals to thrive in
the industry.

Most members are sole practitioners or partners in small- to medium-size accounting firms.

NSA provides constructive feedback on laws and regulations at the federal and state level, working closely with the Internal Revenue Service on a range of issues. NSA state affiliates across the nation constitute a powerful professional network to reach national state policymakers.
