Topic: Paradise Lost - Tax Relief for CA Wildfire Victims

Review how changes to deduction of casualty and theft loss have changed with passage of JCTA. Specifically covering the major disasters declared in California's Butte, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties for victims of Wildfires beginning on November 8, 2018.

Speaker: Alan D. Shattuck, CRTP

Alan is the founder of Shattuck Tax Consulting and current President of the Sacramento Chapter of CSTC. Starting in 1962, he has prepared tax returns and has been guest lecturer in accounting for 3 academic years fo Santa Clara University, 8 years at Dominican University of San Rafael in accounting and tax, and 3 years at Sierra Community College in Rocklin, Truckee, and Nevada City campuses teaching accounting and tax.which he has presented across the U.S. and as Webinars for providers. He has also developed and/or updated multiple tax CPE courses.
