State Update Review
In this session we will be covering a wide range of areas such as California Tax Tables, Residency, Filing Requirements, Conformity, Illegal activities, Current Issues and Future issues etc. We encourage open discussion among attendees as we review the California Tax Laws and Updates. Also we will have work problems so attendees can see how the problem flows on to the return and time set aside for questions and answers.

Federal Update Review
This will be a dive into the New Tax Laws for Individuals and Business. We encourage open discussion among attendees as we look at the new tax laws for individuals and business. Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2017 and Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 will be included in our discussion. We will cover Income, Adjustments, Deductions, taxes, Credits, Other Taxes, Employers, and Other Miscellaneous Items. Time will be set aside for questions and answers.

State Update Review - Marc Narlesky, FTB
Marc is a Technical Assistant to the Advocate in the Franchise Tax Board's (FTB'S) Taxpayers Rights Advocate's Office. He has been a member of the Advocate's Office since December, 2015. Marc started with the FTB in 1989, working as an Auditor and Reviewer. He has held staff positions for divisional budgeting as well as acting as a business lead for FTB's Activity Based Costing project where he learned the operations of the department. Marc's professional experience began in public accounting. He has worked in general practice with a multi-service firm and as a financial auditor of non-profit organizations. Marc earned his Certified Public Accountant in 1992. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Industrial Technology.

Federal Update Review - Claudia Stanley, CPA
Claudia Stanley, CPA is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. Together with her husband, Claudia operates a tax and accounting practice located in Fresno, CA. Claudia is a member of CSTC Central Valley Chapter in Modesto and is also the Vice President of the Society of California Accountants in Fresno. In 2000, Claudia was named one of the Top Ten Women of the Year by the American Business Women's Association in Atlanta. She is a favorite and frequent speaker on business, taxes, accounting, and personal development in the Western United States
