This course will cover the new Form 1099-NEC (Non-employee Co mpensation) which will replace payments historically reported on Form 1099- MISC Box 7. We will also review changes to Form 1099-MISC. Some general rul es for 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, etc., and where are our clients at ri sk for non-compliance. Penalties related to 1099s. Who qualifies for an ext ension to file 1099’s? Issuing 1099’s for business rent, what if the landlo rd uses a property manager? Filing 1099’s for QBI rentals. Plus some AB5 an d EDD payroll audits related to 1099s.BONUS: After the meeting, there will a discussion about virtual practices, tools, and what is working. The goal is to see how we can all be better equipped to be virtual in 2021.
