In 20 12 when the Fresh Start Initiative started to impact the tax problem solvin g world, many practitioners struggled to determine how the Fresh Start Init iative would impact the installment agreement program, the offer in comprom ise program, availability of tax lien relief, and innocent and injured spou se relief programs. This class will explore fresh starts that have been enh anced by the Fresh Start Initiative as well as other fresh start opportunit ies such as bankruptcy. This class will provide updated material and real l ife examples of fresh starts that are available to taxpayers.
Gary Q uackenbush operates his Financial Solutions law practice, GQ LAW, out of th e Rancho Bernardo area in San Diego, California. Since 1988 his emphasis ha s been tax and financial problem solving and implementing solutions for tax problem resolution such as; Offers in Compromise, audit reconsideration, a ppeals, installment agreements, bankruptcy, federal district court actions, etc Gary received his Bachelor of Science degree in business finance from Brigham Young University in 1984. He received his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 1988.Gary is a regular guest lecturer t o tax professionals, attorneys, and volunteer organizations. He is the host of his own podcast radio show “GQ on the Law” available on iTunes. He is P ast-President of the California Society of Tax Consultants, San Diego Chapt er and currently is President of CSTC at the state level.
