Marc Narlesky, Technical Assistant to the Advocate at the Fr anchise Tax Board (FTB) will describe services available from the Taxpayers ’ Rights Advocate’s Office when “normal channels fail.” He will also talk a bout changes for the taxpayer, the practitioner and the FTB that have occur red over the past year. He will cover other topics including but not limite d to California Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), recent legislation changes , communicating with the FTB and other policies and procedures that may be helpful to know for your practice.

ise Tax Board’s (FTB's) Taxpayers' Rights Advocate’s Office. He has been a
member of the Advocate’s Office since December, 2015 and he started with th
e FTB in 1989, working as an Auditor and Reviewer.Marc’s professional exper
ience began in public accounting where he earned his CPA. He graduated from
San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Ad
ministration with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Industrial Techn
ology.
