Presenter:

Lane V. McKeller, EA
Lane started preparing taxes in 1989. His very first return included rentals with an NOL. From his very first tax class, he recognized this profession was something for which he had a passion. After working with a large nationwide firm for 7 years, he had an opportunity to work with a company that created tax software. For 15 years, Lane programmed areas of the software that addressed interest, dividends, capital gains, rentals, K-1’s, schedule A, investment interest expenses, credits, and state returns. When the programming season slowed, Lane continued to prepare returns. In 2012, Lane opened his own firm in Canyon Lake. Lane earned his Bachelor’s Degree in finance from SDSU in 1981 and has been enrolled to practice before the IRS since September 1998. Lane has been a member of CSTC since 1997. He is served as President of the Temecula Valley Chapter of CSTC 2014-2015.
