Sessions Description:
In the last two years, President Trump has signed into law the Tax Cut and Jobs Act, commonly known as TCJA, as well as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, commonly known as CARES Act. The passage of these acts has provided the most significant and comprehensive overhaul of the US Tax Code since the Reagan Administration. Their effect is wide-reaching and impacts individuals, businesses, and trusts in both the US and international arenas.

Certain provisions, including lower business and individual tax rates, and the complex tax breaks for passthrough entities, are receiving most of the attention. One area that is not receiving much focus, although it provides substantial tax benefits, is the Impact of the TCJA and CARES Acts on Cost Recovery and Real Estate. The objective of this course it to help Real Estate Investors understand how the new law benefits real estate holdings. We will review in depth several of the less understood changes to the tax law that can increase cash flow and maximize ROI.
