Wednesday Session-Individual Tax Law Update: John Keil, EA and Patty Barron, EA.
John Keil, EA is a former major bank Vice-President who reinvented himself as a tax practitioner in 1997. He became and Enrolled Agent in 2001 and began conducting educational workshops for CSTC shortly thereafter. He attended California State Fullerton where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics.

Patty Barron, EA has been preparing taxes since 1992 and is a retired 9-1-1 Dispatcher. Patty is currently the 1st V.P. of the Orange County CSTC Chapter. She enjoys personalizing tax preparation for her clients and likes to say, "taxes are about the people, not the math."

Friday Session-Business Tax Law Update: David Eastis, CRTP and Shannon Hall, EA.
David Eastis, CRTP has been teaching classes and conducting seminars for CSTC since he joined in 2003. He obtained his accounting degree from Indiana University, South Bend, specializing in taxes and not-for-profit organizations.

Shannon Hall, EA spent three years studying classical theatre at an acting conservatory, so it was only a matter of time before she got into the tax business. She has been a member of CSTC since she began preparing taxes all the way back in 2012, though her tax career truly began many years before when, as a child, she would play with the tax forms in the library. Shannon has prepared taxes at respected places like her kitchen table and H&R Block, where she served as an instructor and office manager before moving in with some laid-back CPAs in Signal Hill, CA. She has been a presenter at several local CSTC chapters and the Summer Symposium and has also been a guest webinar presenter for Spidell Publishing and a contributing author to Enterpreneur.com. More than anything, Shannon hopes to make tax education engaging and fun and strives to make taxes less taxing. Shannon is a proud member of the Greater Long Beach Chapter of CSTC.
