Tax professionals form long-term relationships with their clients.They are often the first professionals that family members call when a loved one dies.This class examines what needs to be done when a client has died from the tax professional’s perspective. Basic probate and trust administration law is explained and traced to the tax returns that are required, including:
• Form 706 requirements
• Final 1040/540
• Form 1041/541
• Requests for early determination
• Form 56
