Ethics
Ethics is the moral principles, in other words science of morals. Any discussion of ethics at it's core involves understanding right and wrong. Any tax professional with the appropriate education, training, and experience is certainly familiar with the U.S. tax code, along with a state and local laws and regulations governing tax practice.

Round Table Discussion
We invite you to participate in an open round table discussion! you will have the opportunity to better define some of the most recent changes in the new tax laws and how they apply to your clients, and will give you an opportunity to discuss with other tax consultants challenging and interesting tax issues you may have recently encountered.

Rupinder Bains has worked in the Business accounting and Taxes at De Vaney Business Services for 20 years. She has been a active member of CSTC 14 years, and has been a speaker on various Business Subjects.

Round Table Discussion - Karen De Vaney and other qualified speakers
Since 1976, Karen has owned and operated her accounting and tax business in Modesto, California. She specializes in the income tax, bookkeeping and payroll for individuals and small businesses. Since 2009, Karen has served as a Director for the California Tax Education Council. Prior to that she served as a Governor’s appointee to the Tax Preparer Advisory Committee for the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs. Currently Karen serves as Educational Chair of the Central Valley Chapter of California Society of Tax Consultants, Inc. (C.S.T.C.) and Program Chair for the Tuleburg Chapter of American Business Women Association.She is also Past President of the California Society of Tax Consultants, Inc., Past President of the Central Valley Chapter of C.S.T.C. in Modesto California, and Past President of American Business Women’s Associations Tuolumne River and Golden Poppy Chapters. As an instructor for Yosemite Community College District (YCCD), she has taught courses in Practical Bookkeeping, Payroll Accounting, Accounting, Income Tax Preparation, Budgeting, and Small Business Management in Modesto and she also taught courses in Life Skills for youth groups in Columbia, California. Karen is now retired from YCCD.Karen has been an Advisor to Alliance Small Business Development Center and University of California Cooperative Extension. She is also active in several other local and national business and professional organizations.
