Tax Practice for (30 years) Individual, Small Business, Partnerships (rental properties) and S-Corp. I serve approximately 125 clients. (10 years) H & R BlockStarted my career in San Diego working for H & R Block. I became the Assistant District Manager and was one of the Tax Instructors for the Introduction to Tax Class. (5 years) Intuit, Inc. Currently I am a Senior Tax Content Analyst. My current focus has been the tax “Guru” for the development and implementation of TurboTax Live. This is an interactive product where a TurboTax customer can get assistance from a certified professional, either CPA or EA. I assisted in the tax training of the professionals. I was the Tax resource for the pro managers to reach out to with tax questions.I also conduct training and lecture sessions with-in Intuit. One of the ongoing lectures is a yearly session on the tax implications of ESPP’s, RSU’s and Options and How to Treat the Capital Gains on the stock that Intuit employees get. I also conduct a 12 session course, for new employees, an Introduction to Tax Class. This is geared toward new engineers that are hired so they have a high level understanding of taxes and the terminology around taxes. This year I wrote a number of papers and PowerPoint decks around the Tax Cuts and Job Act (TCJA). Much of this information was used for the training and education of the nearly 2,000 professionals we will be hiring in the New Year.
