Description:

TaxBook and Ethics Seminar
The TaxBook will be presented with tax problems and questions that the tax professional may come across during the year. By attending a person may learn to enhance their ability to understand the different sections in the TaxBook in order to research and find answers to tax problems. They may also become more comfortable with researching tax problems as well as learning new law changes. The Ethics will go into discussion on what does practicing before the IRS mean, who may practice before the IRS, what should a tax preparer do if he or she has knowledge of a client's omission of income from a tax return, may a tax preparer rely on the work of other tax return preparers, may a tax preparer rely on and use client provided information, and standards associated with giving advice to clients.

Independent Contractor or Employee: Classifying your workers Seminar
Determining whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor is not always an easy decision, and it should not be taken lightly. A worker's classification affects, eligibility for workers' compensation and unemployment insurance, company fringe benefits, and other protections for employees established by federal, state, and local laws. This seminar reviews the responsibilities and the pros and cons of independent contractor and employee classifications.
