Topic:

When we were busy filing tax returns, the IRS continued to provide guidance on various topics and many Proposed Regulations were issued since the enactment of OBBBA. We will review the Proposed Regulations and latest guidance on many OBBBA provisions such as Trump Accounts, Qualified Tips clarification, Qualified Production Depreciation Deduction, No Tax on Car Loan Interest, Guidance on No Tax on Overtime. Lastly, we will also go over time sensitive refund opportunities under §7508A Disaster Relief from the Kwong and Abdo cases.

3. Review the guidance for the qualified production depreciation deduction.
4. Understand the Proposed Regulations on No Tax on Car Loan Interest.

Lawrence Pon is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Financial Planner, Enrolled Agent, United States Tax Court Practitioner, and Accredited Estate Planner in Redwood Shores, CA• Mr. Pon has been in practice since 1986 and speaks regularly to tax professionals on the latest tax planning and preparation topics nationally. Mr. Pon teaches Income Tax at College of San Mateo. Mr. Pon received his BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
