Join us for our Roundtable discussion where we will review the latest California and Federal updates to help you prepare 2025 tax year.

Karen De Vaney, CRTP
Karen De Vaney has owned and operated a successful accounting and tax practice in Modesto, California since 1976, specializing in income tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services for individuals and small businesses. Karen has held several key leadership roles within the tax and accounting profession. Since 2009, she has served as a Director for the California Tax Education Council (CTEC). Prior to that, she was appointed by the Governor to the Tax Preparer Advisory Committee under the California Department of Consumer Affairs. She currently serves as Education Chair for the Central Valley Chapter of the California Society of Tax Consultants, Inc. (CSTC). Her past leadership positions include President of CSTC, President of the Central Valley Chapter (Modesto), and President of the Tuolumne River and Golden Poppy Chapters of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). As a former instructor with the Yosemite Community College District (YCCD), Karen taught courses in bookkeeping, payroll accounting, income tax, small business management, budgeting, and life skills. She has also served as an advisor to the Alliance Small Business Development Center and the University of California Cooperative Extension. Karen remains actively involved in various local and national professional organizations, continuing her commitment to education and service in the accounting and tax community.
