Topic: IRS Audit and Collection Strategies and Techniques

Mr. Disparte, Esq., LL.M, will be speaking about audit best practices and tax collections representation. His presentation will touch upon how to best represent your client and how to avoid the varied pitfalls in tax representation, including types of audits, common problems, resolution of the audit, statute of limitations, how to best work with an IRS Revenue Agent and Officer, and how to deal with the trust fund recovery penalty.

Presenter: Quinn Disparte, Esq., LL.M

Quinn Disparte is a Los Angeles tax litigation attorney. He has extensive experience in the field of tax controversy. His practice centers on representing individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and State Board of Equalization (SBOE). Mr. Disparte also represents taxpayers in criminal proceedings before state and federal courts. He has successfully defended taxpayers in tax audits, Tax Court litigation, criminal investigations, offshore voluntary disclosures and compliance matters, administrative appeals, claims for refund and sensitive tax collection cases. He has presented on similar topics to tax practitioners throughout Southern California. Mr. Disparte is an adjunct professor of tax procedures and controversy at UCSD. Mr. Disparte received his LL.M. in Taxation with Distinction and received Dean’s List honors from Georgetown University Law Center.
