Description:

On Dec. 22, 2017, President Donald Trump signed into law P.L. 115-97, known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Its many new provisions include noteworthy changes to the income taxation of trusts and estates. Jane Ryder, EA, CPA and Helen Welbourn, EA, CLPF will instruct us on the basics of Trusts and Estates and how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) will impact the income taxation of Trusts and Estates.

- California Licensed Professional Fiduciary since 2010, license #389 (2009 was first year of California required licensing)
- Owns small tax practice, preparing mostly 1040s and about 65 Form 1041 returns annually.
- As a professional fiduciary, have acted as trustee, executrix, conservator, and power of attorney for finances and health care

Jane Ryder, EA, CPA is the owner of Brass Tax Ryder Professional Group, Inc., a full service tax and accounting firm. Brass Tax (not affiliated with Brass Tax Presentations) has been providing tax and accounting services since 1980. Jane received a BS in Business Administration (Accounting) from SDSU and is currently licensed with the California State Board of Accountancy and with the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. Jane has a business centric practice and also specializes in IRS and state agencies collection problems, payment plans, audit appeals, offers in compromise, and other compliance related issues.
