Topic:
By the end of this session, participants will have a practical understanding of balance sheet preparation, and tax reporting for corporations, including the specifics for S Corporations. They will be equipped with the necessary skills to construct and reconcile balance sheets, and prepare Schedule M-1, including an understanding of various adjustments accounts and income/loss reconciliation.

*Understand how the balance sheet aids in return preparation for business
*Learn how the balance sheet can help in accurate preparation of business tax returns
*Enhance knowledge of how business transactions affect tax reporting
*Understand the implications of these transactions for tax reporting
*Develop skills necessary to construct an opening and closing balance sheet.

Anita Monrroy, CPA, EA, MST is a driven and accomplished accounting professional with a BS in Accountancy from California State University, Northridge and an MS in Taxation. After building a strong foundation at Ernst & Young, she expanded her expertise with various small to mid-sized accounting firms, focusing on audits and tax returns for diverse clients. As both a CPA and Enrolled Agent, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her successful small business, Monrroy Business Solutions Inc., (MBSI), and her Real Estate investments. Her professional insight is uniquely enhanced by her perspective as a small business owner. When not focused on numbers, Anita enjoys social dancing and lives with passion and dedication in Reseda, California where she resides with her two beloved chihuahuas.
