What's that haunting the carry-over worksheets of your tax returns? Is it the ghost of IRS Commissioners Past? No, it's passive activity losses! Using case studies and line-by-line analysis, we will deep-dive into reporting and tracking passive activities and help these losses complete their unfinished business and finally move on.

1. Recognize passive activities and review rules for deducting losses.
2. Accurately complete Form 8582.
3. Properly report passive losses at disposition of activity.

Shannon Hall, EA, is a tax professional based in Long Beach, CA. Her diverse client base keeps her on the cutting edge of new tax developments. Shannon is a featured speaker for tax societies nationwide and a writer and presenter for Brass Tax Presentations. She holds degrees in both Accounting and Theatre Arts, which aids her in creating captivating and informative tax presentations.She is the current President of CSTC and as our prior 2nd VP - she was in charge of education for three years, as well as participating on the board of her local chapter in Orange County. Shannon was named CSTC Member of the Year for 2023.
