Because sometimes things don't turn out like we want them to, there must be a way to challenge the outcome. Once a decision is made, there are ways to appeal those decisions. From a tax professional perspective, it is possible to appeal Audits, Offer in Compromises, installment agreements, tax assessments, and penalty assessments. Often this process requires us to look around for a different forum to hear our case. The forums could include IRS appeals, managerial appeal, Taxpayer Advocate, managerial appeal, US Tax Court, Federal District Court, Federal Court of Claims, and Bankruptcy Court. This class will explore appeal options so you'll have more tools in your toolbox to correct a bad tax decision.
