Presenters:

Part One: Anthony Bustos, EA
FORMER IRS REVENUE AGENT: Anthony D. Bustos, EA, graduated from CSU-Fullerton with a BA in Business Administration-Accounting. Mr. Bustos was employed by the IRS for several years as a Revenue Agent auditing individuals, businesses, corporations, and partnerships as well as researching tax laws, court cases and revenue rulings. He represents clients before the IRS and FTB in audit, special problems and collection matters such as the release or modification of wage levies, payment agreements, and hardships. He provides tax preparation and planning for corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, and individuals. He appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s televised “Battlelines” program and has been a speaker to the Riverside Tax Consultants Association, and the California Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals. Anthony was the President of the California Society of Tax Consultants from 2006 to 2008. 

Part Two: Janie Tran Technical Advisor to the Advocate Taxpayers' Rights Advocate's Office
Janie Tran has been with Franchise Tax Board (FTB) for over 35 years. Prior to joining the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate's Office, Janie provided excellent customer service for the State of California as an Auditor, Technical Lead, Hearing Officer, and subject matter expert for pass-through entities, personal income and business entity taxes. Janie served as FTB’s liaison to the Board of Equalization Chair where she participated in education and outreach activities in conjunction with her primary role as the Tax and Policy Advisor for income , franchise and sales tax appeals. She also has several years' experience as a project analyst and supervisor where she led audit discovery projects and a variety of collection and filing enhancement initiatives. In addition to her technical experience, Janie spent six years as an Administrator in FTB's collection and filing programs. Janie is a graduate of Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting.
