To learn how cryptocurrency is taxed and the reporting requirements to IRS, what IRS initiatives arein place to verify taxpayer compliance and reporting obligations for cryptocurrency transactions, andwhat to do if your client is non-compliant and has yet to been discovered by the IRS or even worse isnow under investigation by IRS.

Jeffrey B. Kahn is the principle of the Law Offices of Jeffrey B. Kahn, P.C. headquartered in Irvine and withthree offices in the Bay Area and Southern California. He is a member of the California and Florida Barsand is Board Certified in Tax Law by the California and Florida Bars who practice in tax planning and theresolution of tax controversies, cryptocurrency and cannabis. He earned his LL.M degree in taxation andJ.D. degree from the Un. of Miami School of Law, and his BBA degree from Florida Inter. Un. He is anadjunct professor for the College of the Desert teaching cannabis law and has taught classes in the areas oftaxation and estate planning. He also holds a Florida CPA license and serves on Cannabis Advisory Council.
