Description:

Depreciation issues haven’t changed much (lately) but it’s worthwhile to review the basics just to be sure you don’t miss anything during the stress of tax season. We will look at the basic rules and touch base on some common errors that can sneak in. At the end, there will be a bonus discussion about how to eliminate depreciation recapture when selling rental property.

Chuck Woodson has been preparing tax returns professionally since 1976. He also teaches tax preparation techniques to other preparers. As an Enrolled Agent (EA), he is appointed to represent taxpayers before the IRS and provides audit representation and compliance resolution with both the IRS and Franchise Tax Board.
