Part Two: Casualties and Thefts (Form 4684)
Did you think Casualty and Theft losses were gone? Well, they aren’t, just with new restrictions and some new benefits. We will discuss the Federal rules for personal and business Casualty and theft losses on the Federal return and review the rules for California, which remain with the same old rules. If your client had Fire damage, Earthquake or Flood damage.

In trucking since 1990, start doing taxes in 1998 at H & R Block. Passed EA exam in 2003 and started my own office in 2004. Santokh Singh Binning E.A. (aka Sunny)

 

 

Part Two: Eugene Ostermiller, EA, NTPI fellow
Eugene started doing taxes 23 years ago at H and R Block. After 8 years at Block, he formed Tax Matters Inc. in San Francisco with 2 partners, a business that they sold in 2014. He then moved to Sonora CA and opened ERO Tax in 2015. He passed the EA exam in 2001 and has been a speaker for over 15 years.
