Description:
As business owners in California, one of the most important tax decisions is determining what form of ownership will best meet their business needs. Selecting the best structure for the business should be a carefully planned process that is discussed with a qualified tax professional, EA, CPA or attorney who specializes in the area. Although there are many forms of ownership to choose from in California, FTB PUB 1123 highlights the most common in the state. The goal of this workshop is to help attendees to develop new resource tools for determining and understanding the tax issues of common forms of business ownership in California. We will explore the key features of Sole Proprietorships, General Partnerships, Limited Partnerships, Limited Liabilities Companies, and Corporations
