Claudia Stanley has been in public accounting for 30 years and founded her firm in 1991. Claudia is a frequent speaker at continuing education events for tax preparers throughout California & Nevada.
Michele Patterson is an Enrolled Agent who preparers individual and business entity returns and overseas bookkeeping and payroll services. She frequently speaks on behalf of IRS at local EDD payroll seminars.

What's new for 2017 Itemized Deductions and how they may relate to Taxpayers. Increase your knowledge on Standard Deductions, Medical Expenses, Taxes, Interest Deductions, Charitable Contributions, and Miscellaneous Deductions. Along with common Elections, Employee Business Expenses, Recordkeeping rules for Charitable Contributions, Volunteer Expenses, Employee Expenses, and special occupations Deductions.

Casualties and Thefts
We will explore what happens to the Casualties and Thefts Losses for Federal and the State of California for 2018. Casualties and Thefts Losses included not only natural disasters but also fires, robberies and other qualifying occurrences. We will discuss the new Federal law and now it preserves the deductions only for disasters for which a presidential disaster area declaration was made until 2025.
