IRS Debt Collection: How you can advocate for your clients. IRS collections Initiatives: The PATH ACT and Private Debt collection The FAST ACT and Passport Revocations and Denials - What are these initiatives and will they affect your clients.

Debra Falcone, IRS Taxpayer Advocate

Debra began her IRS career 26 years ago as a Data Transcriber in the Brookhaven, NY Campus. She has held many positions within IRS over the years- as a Toll Free Customer Service Representative (CSR), Tax Examiner in Accounts Management, and as an Individual Taxpayer Assistance Specialist (ITAS) in Field Assistance (FA). Debra is a graduate of the FLITE (Future Leaders in Training for Excellence) program. Prior to her arrival in the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), she was a Frontline Manager in Field Assistance. In 2016, Debra was selected as the Local Taxpayer Advocate for a new TAS office in San Diego, CA. that was established in June 2016. Debra brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a passion to advocate for all taxpayers to her new position and is excited to have the opportunity to reach out to and serve San Diego Taxpayers and Organizations. A native of Long Island, NY, Debra enjoys spending her free time traveling to visit her grandchildren, reading, and volunteering in her local community.
