Tax Code Review - Part 1 - Individuals (Previously known as the EA Cram Course) Fed 8 hours

Part 1 is a study aide for the Enrolled Agent Exam or for the new upcoming IRS RTRP testing or General Review. This covers all parts of the Individual 1040 tax return, including but not limited to the Schedules & Forms required for the tax return. It also has information for Other Taxes, Amended Returns, Injured Spouse, Estates, Gifts & Trusts.

Tax Code Review - Part 2 -  Businesses:  Part 2 is a study aide for the Enrolled Agent Exam or General Review.  It will also be a relevant study aide if the IRS expands the testing for NRTP's.  This covers General Business Income & Expenses, Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Exempt Organizations and Farmers. 

Tax Code Review - Part 3 - Representation, Practices & Procedures:  Part 3 is a study aide for the Enrolled Agent Exam or General Review.  This covers the areas of becoming an Enrolled Agent, Circular 230, POA's, Audits, Appeals, Collections and Electronic Filing.

CTEC Education Requirements

CTEC is working to conform and if state legislation passes then effective January 1, 2012 CTEC will revise the education requirements for CRTP's to follow the new IRS education requirements.  CTEC continuing education hours will change from 12 hours federal, 4 hours state , 2 hours ethics and 2 hours either state or federal to 15 hours federal and 5 hours state.

Federal Education Requirements

Part of the new IRS regulations will require nonexempt tax preparers to complete 15 hours of federal continuing education: 3 hours will cover federal tax la updates, 2 hours will cover ethics, and 10 will cover general federal tax law topics each year.
