The new location for North County’s Chapter meetings, The Hilton Garden Inn at 6450 Carlsbad Blvd., Carlsbad has proven to be well accepted, for location, room hospitality and the enjoyment of the meal.  After many years Carol Archibald has resigned her position on the board, as well as Registration chairperson.  Allison Beckett has assumed that role and reservations for each meeting need to be made by the Monday prior to the meeting, by email at abbbts@earthlink.net or phone, 760 631 8006. Registration will begin at 5:00 pm and the first session  at 5:30 and the second session following the dinner.  Individual meal prices will be $29 for members, $31 for non members, and $33 for walk ins.

The following programs have been planned for the remainder of the year;

For July 10 Steve Sims from the Franchise Tax Board will have topical State subjects and for those who know this speaker, this will be a great evening, he will have both hours and this will produce 2 State credits;

August 14, Linda Beckett (Chapter Past President and also Past State President) will speak on MORTGAGE INTEREST this will be two Federal credits;

September 11, Wayne Ochtis, Member of North County and also a CPA, will speak at both sessions on a topical subject of interest, two Federal credits;

October 9, Jerry Sanders will speak at both sessions on Retirement Savings for each business entity,  two Federal Credits;

November 13 remains open at this time however, the State office is encouraging all members  to present a program of interest to their own Chapter, if you have a topic you feel anxious to share with the members, please call Maria (or Joanne) to arrange for these two hours in November.  Subject presentation  could be less than the hour time allotted,  allowing for more than one speaker and subject matter, step up with the subjects you are most familiar with and share with the membership.

And of course, our Holiday Party will be Dec. 11 which the board will organize for your enjoyment this year.  If you are willing to help, or have suggestions, please contact Joanne, she will be more than happy to listen to your suggestions, and take your help with pleasure.

North County Chapter split from the larger San Diego County Chapter when it became apparent another chapter was critical to serve the number of potential members in the northern part of the county.

This chapter hosts monthly meetings from May thru December, with the December meeting being a purely social meeting.  All other meetings result in credits for the attendees.  The chapter cooperates with the other San Diego chapters in the presentation of educational opportunities in the  FALL Workshop series as well as the RUNNING
